Update
I need to get some picture taken but the light has not been good around here for the past couple of days. I have two finished objects this week. I made Anastasia a crochet shell cuddle blanket, and I made Shae a large one square crochet cuddle blanket. I really enjoyed the process of making these blankets and I really need to get pictures when the light is better. I used Lilly's Sugar and Cream crochet cotton for each of these blankets and the best part is that I got these yarns on clearance at Hobby Lobby and only payed about $2.25 to make each of these blankets. They had the 3 ball value packs (2100 yards for kit) on sale for only $7 and it only took one full skein (710 yards) to make each blanket.

New job and much more
I started a new job on Thursday and, so it means early to bed and early to rise and not much more than housework in-between. I have been able to get some crafting done though. I started a crochet blanket for my bed. It is in the round, and I am about 20 inches from side-to-side. I was gifted a full cone of yarn at the Peachtree Handspinner's Guild meeting last Saturday and I came home knowing exactly what I was going to make. The yarn is a mercerized cotton in a creamy color. I really love how it is turning out. I am just using a double crochet stitch with an even increase all around. I just finished a pair of baby booties today with a dark pink cotton and a brown ribbon as the tie. I really need to take some pictures. I feel bad that I have no pictures to go with this post.
On the job subject, I am not working as a Substitute Teacher at my girls school. I love the time that I am there. I have been there most of the school year as a parent volunteer and I really just love knowing that I can be there if my children need me and I can help out where I am needed, and help their teachers.

MS3 to the froggies . . . .
- I have finished clue 1, with a good start on clue 2, when the dropped stitch just dropped. I know that anyone who has knitted lace knows what I mean, when you drop a stitch it is a pain to try to get it picked up correctly. Well I did not like the results so I just frogged it back onto the ball. I think I will pick up something else this weekend. A quick little project.
- I have been looking at these and so I picked up one of my japanese craft books and started a little creature for Shae. She love the way they look and has been asking me to make her one.
- I hit the mother load at Goodwill this week, I have a huge bag of brand new yarn (wool, cotton, and novelty yarns), I also found almost the whole set of American Girl books for the girls for only 75 cents each (I got a like new copy of The Devil Wears Prada book for me). I am going to make a few creatures out of some of it, and I might use the cotton for a crocheted lace.
- I have joined a few Yahoo groups in the past couple of days: Crochet Peaches, Crochet Menagerie, and Knit Swap.

Blog Search
I am using this so much and I love the way it only searches blogs.
Blog Search powered by google.
Here is a couple of things that I have found today.
- Crochet Cape I thought this was an interesting way to use granny squares.
- What's Cluttering My Couch, Crochet Carnival 1, and here is the link for Crochet Carnival 2, knitting and crochet.

An unlucky, lucky day
I will say that 7-7-07 was unlucky for my Digital Camera. We took the girls to the new World of Coke, and the Georgia Aquarium yesterday and while I was sitting on the side of the fountain I stood up not thinking that my camera was in my lap. When I stood up it sliped off and into the fountain. So there is no camera for now and so I will posting pictures that I have taken over the past month. I always take more than I ever post, because I do not like posting without pictures. I do have some that I hope to get posted and I wish I could have gotten the ones off that I took yesterday, (if there is anyone out there that knows of a way to get pictures off the camera please let me know).
Here is one of the crochet flowers that I make. I chain 5 and then join with a slip stitch, I then 10 double crochet in the center, then I (chain 6, single crochet) repeat in every other stitch until you are around the center. then finish off and weave in ends. glue on either a pin back or a hair clip.

New Mexico
We are now in Deming, NM and I am sitting in the Comfort Inn and I am so glad that I know that the bed is comfortable and I hope that I will get a good nights sleep.
I did not think that we would ever get out of Texas today. We stayed in Big Springs, TX last night and we were still over 5 hours from El Paso. That was the longest five hours that I have ever been in a car. I did manage to get some crafting done. I made a vintage crochet caplet out of the yarn that I got at Cabbage Rose yesterday. I started it yesterday and finished it about 3 hours out of El Paso. I will take a picture and post it tomorrow. I am going to turn in for the night.

A few FOs for you
I really feel like I have neglected this place to spend more time crafting so I will give you a few FOs to get a little feedback, because I really need some after spending so much time making them.

Can't believe its been so long
I have gotten some crafting this week. I can take these small projects with me in a sandwich size ziplock bag. I love these little projects that fit in my purse, and where every I am. If I have to wait I can just pull them out and work on them.

- FO a crocheted drawstring purse
- WIP Bottle/Can Cozy
- FO Illustrations for my Sunday School's bullentin board
This is pretty much it for this week. I had so much school work this week and worring about my dad worked together to make me not want to even think about creating.
I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend. I will return with some inspiration next week hopefully as I am going to the Apparel Mart in Atlanta and I will try to come back with some new ideas to share.

Computer Problems and more
My computer crashed Sunday morning, I lost all of my data and all of my school work. I had to take the computer into the shop for a couple of days and had no access to the internet until late tuesday night. I will say that without the computer I got a few things done. When the computer is around I seem to keep it in my lap (no pun intended). I started making me a pair of fingerless gloves and then the girls wanted a pair also so without a computer I got a lot done, One pair for me and a pair each for the girls.

Crochet Cravet WIP (and a link)
This is what I was working on yesterday in the Dr's office I hope to have it finished this afternoon. It is for a gift. I have 4 birthdays this month and I have to decied which one gets this one.
I found this heart box how to on Martha Stewart and I just had to post it here because I love the way that you can adapt this to any shape that you have in mind. I even thought that I could make a box in the shape of a football helmet.

The Yucks Have Come
When I woke up this morning I check on my oldest and she had was burning up and when I checked she had a fever of 102.1 and so I decided not to wake her for school. I took her to the Doctor's office and they said it was either the Flu or Strep. They performed the test for both and when they gave me the results, she has both. This means she is out of school until Friday at least. Now my youngest Shae has started coughing and I have her laying down as well. In this house keeping 2 kids apart if not going to be easy.
I started a scarf from the One Skein Book while I was at the doctor. I had almost half of it done before I left.It is the crocheted Cravat. It is easy once you get the pattern down because it is a short 4 row repeat. I am using a yarn that I recieved in a swap and I am loving it.
Also check out this how-to that I found via Whip-Up
