Re-fashioned Shirts

I had a white shirt and a white sweater that had started looking a little dingy but the were still in great condition so I decied to dye them so that I could still get some use out of them. The small shirt is one the girls spilled red kool-aid on and you know how that stuff never comes out so I over dyed it with a red dye diluted to a pink.

CONTEST (not mine) and more. . . .

Go Over and check them out and sign up for this contest. I also got a very good deal on fabric today. I was able to get $155.00 worth of Fabric for only $14.00 at Joann's. They have all of their clearance fabric for only $1.00 per yard. If you have one near you, I would run as fast as I could to get some wonderful fabric. I will post a picture of the fabric and the pattern that I plan to use.
In the whole provide for ourself mindset I am putting this link out to everyone and you might want to grow your own, Victory Garden.

Jean Jacket Re-fashion

My girls wanted a jean jacket that they saw at the Limited Too and I took one look at the price tag ($42), and said, "I can make your look just like that or better". So I used my Bejeweler Heat tool and put on crystals along the pockets and the collar.

This was very easy, it took about 45 min with heating and cooling so that I could change the tips. I used three different sizes of crystals (5mm, 4mm, & 3mm). I love the way it turned out and Anastasia looked so cute in it. I will have to take a picture of her wearing it.

Wardrobe Refashion '07

I, Kate C. , pledge that I shall abstain from the purchase of "new" manufactured items of clothing, for the period of 2 months. I pledge that I shall refashion, renovate, recycle preloved items for myself with my own hands in fabric, yarn or other medium for the term of my contract. I pledge that I will share the love and post a photo of my refashioned, renovoated, recycled, crafted or created item of clothing on the Wardrobe Refashion blog, so that others may share the joy that thy thriftyness brings!
